Student Housing
We seek to provide students with housing environments that provide the opportunity for students to grow spiritually, physically, and academically. Our weekly dorm devotionals provide students with the opportunity to meet with peers in their section to be challenged and encouraged by the truths of Who God is and What He has done as revealed in Scripture. “Quiet hours” are enforced in the dorm to ensure that each student is given the opportunity to get the sleep needed to maintain a healthy life style. The “quiet hours” also provide students with the opportunity to study in their rooms if they prefer to study late, after the library is closed. The free wi-fi in each residence hall provides students with access to the on-line tools and resources provided by our campus library.
Resident Assistants
We are privileged to have a fantastic group of Resident Assistants (RAs) serving in each of our residence halls. RAs are students who serve as members of the Student Services staff who assist the Directors of Women’s and Men’s Services in all areas of residence life. Each RA has a designated “section” of a dorm. The responsibilities of an RA include: providing devotional opportunities in the dorm on a weekly basis; maintaining order and harmony in the residence halls and on campus; conducting weekly room checks to insure all facilities are kept safe and in good repair; reporting illnesses of students, maintenance requests and other irregularities to the Directors; serving as a liaison, sharing student concerns and serious problems with the Student Services staff; and offering peer counseling.
